We have recently become aware of Fraudsters preying on vulnerable teenagers by offering to help apply for legitimate payments from the ATO/Government.
What they also do is lodge fraudulent BAS and claim back $10,000s ($49,500 and $39,000 in the cases we know of) and change the bank account details when they lodge the BAS.
The teenagers don’t even know it has been done.
