ASIC Scam Warning

ASIC have advised us that a Scam Email had been sent to a large number of people on Wednesday 4th October 2017.  If you have received an email from ASIC on this date then please check the details below before deleting the email.

One clear give away is if the subject does not include your entities name. The email has a few more flaws, the major one being the link to the PDF goes to a sharepoint  (You can find this out by hovering over the link). ASIC doesn't use sharepoint -  It probably contained an infected file or false bank details.

 Some other flaws include:

·         asic.transaction.no-reply@ato.gov.r-au.com – the bold is not part of an ASIC email address

·        Sean Grzesiak & Christian Paskey don't appear on ASIC senior executives - Biographies

·        The text symbol  [ ] does not appear in ASIC emails.

Please note that, if Jamiesons Accounting acts as your ASIC Agent, all of your ASIC communication will come via our office, and we will forward to you any instructions regarding the communication.
